Album Notes:

On 7 September 1982, we received a letter from two bright and enterprising film makers, Arnie Zipursky
& Bruce Glawson, aka Cambium Productions, asking us if we’d be interested in making a half-hour television special. Nothing about our lives has been the same since that day.

hat television special turned into a 13-part series called Sharon, Lois & Bram’s Elephant Show, a half-hour musical variety program for children and their families. That was 1984. Now, in 1987, with 52 shows “in the can”, the Elephant Show is in its fourth season on Canada’s CBC-TV national network and in its first season on the
US Nickelodeon Network.

his is the time for us to acknowledge – in print – all the folks associated with the show: the writers, the directors, the crew, the guests, Eric, Paula, the children, Arnie & Bruce, the investors, Telefilm Canada, and the Children’s Department of the CBC. And our Elephant Records team: Molly, Ellen, Stephen, Alan, Ana, and Tricia. The Elephant Show is a sum of all these people, and we are forever grateful for their energy and care. We have loved making these shows – and we thank you with all our hearts.

In a word (or two):
Bravo, bravo, bravo, bravissimo
Bravo, Bravo, very well done!

- Sharon, Lois & Bram
